Job Overview
The IT Recruiter’s primary responsibility is to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for technical roles. This involves understanding technical job descriptions, identifying suitable candidates, and ensuring a smooth hiring experience for both the company and applicants. They utilize a combination of sourcing methods, including job portals, social media platforms, professional networks, and internal databases, to find top IT talent.
An IT Recruiter must possess a good understanding of technical jargon, programming languages, tools, and industry trends to effectively evaluate candidates and communicate job expectations accurately.
Key Responsibilities
1. Understanding Hiring Needs

Collaborate with hiring managers and technical leads to define job descriptions, role responsibilities, and skill requirements.

Gain a deep understanding of the organization’s technical environment, tools, and projects.

Align recruitment strategies with company goals and project deadlines.
2. Sourcing and Attracting Candidates

Use job boards, LinkedIn, GitHub, and other professional platforms to identify potential candidates.

Leverage social media recruitment strategies and networking to connect with passive candidates.

Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill IT roles.
3. Screening and Shortlisting

Review resumes and portfolios to assess candidate suitability based on technical and soft skills.

Conduct initial phone or video interviews to evaluate candidates’ experience and knowledge.

Coordinate technical assessments, coding tests, and assignment evaluations when required.
4. Conducting Interviews and Evaluations

Schedule interviews between candidates and technical teams or hiring managers.

Provide interview preparation guidance to candidates to ensure smooth interactions.

Act as a liaison between candidates and internal teams to facilitate communication.
5. Offer Management and Onboarding

Negotiate job offers, salary packages, and employment terms with selected candidates.

Ensure a positive candidate experience during the recruitment process.

Coordinate onboarding processes and ensure new hires are successfully integrated.
6. Employer Branding and Networking

Promote the organization as an employer of choice within the IT industry.
