- Hadoop development and implementation.
- Loading from disparate data sets.
- Pre-processing using Hive and Pig.
- Designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting Hadoop.
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.
- Perform analysis of vast data stores and uncover insights.
- Maintain security and data privacy.
- Create scalable and high-performance web services for data tracking.
- High-speed querying.
- Managing and deploying HBase.
- Being a part of a POC effort to help build new Hadoop clusters.
- Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams.
- Propose best practices/standards.
- Ability to write code based on technical designs
- Must be good in adapting & adopting new technology footprints to optimize business solutions
- Applies knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems
- Designing and developing/coding software components in Java
- Designing and developing/coding software components in Bigdata, that includes various tools like
- Map Reduce, Hive, Sqoop, HBase. This is good to have requirement.
- Proficient in Core Java and RDBMS.
- Specification and management of coding, usability and quality standards.
- Interpreting requirements into application code.
- Collaborating with QA team members.
- Evaluating and learning new technologies that would provide business value.
- Ensuring the quality, architecture and accuracy of released code
- Develops innovative approaches on performance optimization & automation.
- Independent communication with business partners to resolve issues and negotiate project related
- items such as priorities and completion deadlines.
- Provide timely updates on tasks to reporting supervisor
- Knowledge in Hadoop – Kinda & workflow/schedulers like Oozie.
- Good knowledge in back-end programming, specifically java, JS, and OOAD
- Writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code.
- Ability to write Pig Latin scripts & MapReduce jobs.
- Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Hands on experience in HiveQL.
- Familiarity with data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to Big Data domain
- Proven understanding with Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, and HBase.
- Good aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.
- Willing to work in Rotational Shifts
