IT Software Engineer Job in Blackboard at Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai

As a Full Stack Technology Trainee, you will participate in development and unit testing across the suite of enterprise applications in the Blackboard environment. Applications will include Java and Node.JS. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Developing front end and back end applications
• Designing user interactions on web pages
• Creating servers and databases for functionality
• Designing and developing APIs
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications
• Working alongside Graphic Designers for web design features
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
• Learning, adapting, and working across multiple time zones and being flexible with the work timings

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• In-depth knowledge of programming language- Core and/or advanced Java (college projects)
• Self-motivated team player
• Both technical and analytical background
• Basic knowledge of front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Angular.JS/React)
• Familiarity with server-side languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, and PHP
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle/MongoDB
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills and adaptive attitude
