Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-User Support:

Provide technical support to users on hardware, software, and networking issues.

Respond to support tickets, emails, or calls regarding computer systems, software, and hardware issues.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve user problems related to operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), office applications, browsers, and internal tools.

Log and track support issues using a ticketing system and escalate when necessary.
2. Hardware and Software Installation:

Set up, configure, and deploy new hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.

Install, upgrade, and configure software and operating systems as required.

Maintain hardware inventory and software license compliance.
3. Network and Connectivity Support:

Assist in maintaining local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity.

Troubleshoot issues with routers, switches, modems, and Wi-Fi access points.
-
Monitor network performance and coordinate with network administrators or ISPs to resolve issues.
4. Security and Access Management:

Implement and maintain IT security protocols including antivirus, endpoint protection, and firewalls.

Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights through systems like Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace.

Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data protection standards.
5. System Maintenance and Monitoring:

Regularly perform preventive maintenance to minimize system failures and downtimes.

Monitor system logs and alerts for unusual activity or performance degradation.
-
Assist in backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
-
Create and maintain documentation related to technical support issues, configurations, and processes.
-
Record resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.

Provide regular reports on support requests, system performance, and incidents.
7. Training and User Education:

Conduct user training sessions or create guides to help staff understand new technologies or improve productivity.

Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up their devices and providing IT orientation.
8. Project Support:

Participate in IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, software rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.

Work with vendors and external IT service providers when implementing new systems or resolving escalated issues.
