Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. The successful
candidate will have a strong background in Windows and Linux OS environments, with
a good understanding of systems and servers. The role involves providing technical
support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and
networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Windows and Linux OS environments
- Configure computer hardware, CAE software, networks, and applications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system and network problems, software faults, and
hardware complications
- Program in Windows (cmd/PowerShell) and Linux (Python preferable)
- Document processes and maintain records of issues and solutions
- Analyze data and build automation applications for end-users (nice to have)
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Total 6+ years of experience including 4 years of relevant experience into Windows
and Linux platform.
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience of Windows and Linux OS environments
- Good understanding of systems and servers
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications, CAE software, and HPC queuing
systems
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and networks
Soft Skills:
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and networking skills (TAF, MBRDI-IT, End-users)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on criticality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to build automation applications for end-users
- Containerization (eg. Docker, etc.)
- Awareness of Technology landscape across the industry.
- Sizing and architecture planning.
