Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Installation Work:
-
Install wiring systems in buildings and industrial setups as per drawing and layout.

Install and connect switches, sockets, fans, lights, distribution boards (DBs), and electrical panels.

Lay underground or overhead cables and conduits.
-

Maintenance and Repair:
-
Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and appliances regularly.
-
Identify faults or damage in systems and repair or replace components.
-
Troubleshoot tripped breakers, fuse failures, short circuits, or lighting issues.
-

Testing and Safety:
-
Test electrical systems using tools like multimeters, megger, or test lamps.
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards and use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
-
Follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) and safety guidelines when working on live systems.

Documentation and Reporting:
-
Maintain logs of repairs, maintenance schedules, and materials used.
-
Report any major issues or risks to the supervisor or site engineer.
-
Follow checklists for routine inspections and shutdown maintenance.

Support in Projects:
-
Assist engineers and senior electricians during new installations or project work.
-
Work with mechanical and civil teams during site construction or modifications.
-
Support energy efficiency upgrades or solar system installations if applicable.

Tool and Material Handling:
-
Use hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, cutters) and power tools (drill machines, grinders) safely.
-
Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.

Handle cables, wires, circuit breakers, fuses, and other components with care.
Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge of electrical circuits, load calculations, and wiring standards.

Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and electrical drawings.

Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment like motors, fans, lighting, and panels.

Awareness of electrical safety and ability to use PPE.

Good physical condition and willingness to work in various environments.
