Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Fitting & Assembly:
-
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams to understand fitting requirements.

Assemble and fit mechanical parts, structures, and components according to design specifications.
-
Use tools such as hammers, spanners, drills, grinders, and welding equipment to perform fitting tasks.

Align components and ensure proper fitting using measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
2. Installation & Maintenance:
-
Install mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with manufacturer and safety specifications.

Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance of machines and mechanical equipment.

Identify and repair mechanical faults, worn-out parts, or equipment malfunctions.
-
Dismantle, clean, and reassemble components during scheduled maintenance.
3. Workshop and On-Site Work:
-
Operate in workshop settings or be deployed on-site for equipment installation or repair.
-
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop area.
-
Follow company protocols while working on-site, including proper documentation and coordination.
4. Quality & Safety Compliance:
-
Follow quality standards to ensure precision and accuracy in fitting work.

Adhere to company health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Handle tools and machinery responsibly to avoid workplace accidents or equipment damage.

Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
5. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain records of work completed, parts used, and time taken.

Submit daily or weekly activity reports to supervisors or team leads.

Assist in inventory management of tools, spare parts, and materials.
Required Qualifications:
-
ITI certification in Fitter trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.

Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and fitting practices.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
-
Understanding of industrial safety practices and precautions.
-
Knowledge of machine maintenance procedures and mechanical troubleshooting.
