Job Overview
An ITI Trainee is a candidate undergoing practical training in their respective trade or technical specialization. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience, exposure to industrial operations, and skill development in line with the trainee’s ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification.
This program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, enabling the trainee to gain technical proficiency and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Practical Training & Skill Development

Learn and assist in day-to-day technical operations under the guidance of senior technicians.

Handle tools, machinery, and equipment specific to the ITI trade.

Understand and apply workshop safety procedures and best practices.

Participate in hands-on exercises and live projects to develop core technical skills.
2. Maintenance & Support

Assist in routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machines and equipment.

Support senior staff in installation, calibration, and testing of technical systems.

Maintain tools, instruments, and work areas in an organized and safe manner.
3. Documentation & Reporting
-
Record training activities, observations, and learning progress in daily logbooks or reports.

Prepare checklists, maintenance records, and job sheets as required.

Provide feedback on training sessions for continuous improvement.
4. Compliance & Safety
-
Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safety of self and colleagues.

Report any hazards, incidents, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
5. Learning & Development

Participate in training sessions, workshops, and skill development programs.

Understand quality standards, production workflows, and technical specifications.

Apply theoretical knowledge from ITI curriculum to practical scenarios.
Eligibility Criteria

Education:
-
Completion of ITI (Industrial Training Institute) program in a relevant trade (e.g., Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic, Welder, CNC, Electronics, Plumbing, Carpentry).

Experience:

Fresh ITI graduates or students undergoing final-year practical training.

Skills Required:

Basic technical understanding of the chosen trade.

Familiarity with tools, machines, and workshop practices.

Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.

Physical fitness to handle manual work and machinery.
