Research Project Associate Job in Jadavpur University at Kolkata

An online interview will be held for the recruitment of following posts for the project entitled “Preparation of GHG inventory with emission targets and Assessment of Seasonal, Diurnal, Geo Spatial and Temporal Variation of Respirable and Fine Particulates for New Town Kolkata” at Global Change Programme of Jadavpur University. Selected fellows will work under the supervision of Prof. Anupam Debsarkar at Global Change Programme-Jadavpur University. The project will deal with the preparation of a sector-based city level GHG emissions inventory and assessment of the airborne particulate pollution scenario in terms of geo-spatial and temporal (diurnal and seasonal) variation in respirable (PM10) and fine (PM2.5) particulate concentrations for Newtown, Kolkata.

1. The recruitment will be for 8 months from the date of joining.

3. Essential Qualification Master Degree in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Biotechnology / Allied Fields

4. Desirable qualification:  Good quantitative skills. Undergraduate project/training in the field of Sustainability / Environmental Engineering. Sound knowledge of handling MS-XL spreadsheets. Good communication and report writing skills in English. Understanding/Familiarity/prior experience of GHG inventory methods /estimation methods used by IPCC/NATCOM/BUR

5. Fellowship amount: Rs. 35,000/- consolidated

6. Duration: The recruitment will be for 8 months from the date of joining
