The company's first route in New Jersey launched in 2016. Since 2016 OurBus has added intercity service to 14 destinations, and commuter service in 3 New Jersey locations.

What’s The Job?

Develop across every Rally product as you work with our tech team to improve the user experience. Helping to imagine, build, and launch new products and features. (One recent example: A feature that helps users create and publicize their own private trips to events that our website doesn’t already list.) And of course, all of this activity really serves to bring in more and happier users. You’ll increase the appeal of the website to new visitors; help experienced riders get around faster; make it easier and more fun for people to share trips with their friends; and help us learn more about how people are using the site.

You’ve spent 5+ years at a web development position with a similar level of responsibility, and you did a fantastic job. You should be able to explain the results you produced, and the value you added through your own creativity and special skills. Bonus points if you worked in music, sports, social media, crowdsourcing, or transportation.

You can build things from scratch. We’d like to hear about times when you’ve taken an idea, or a set of requirements, and used it to create something new and successful, on your own or as the leader of a team. You can comfortably manage several projects at the same time without letting the little details slip by.

When you don’t know exactly how to solve a problem, you’re good at asking the right questions -- or, if your questions can’t be answered right away, working productively within that constraint.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helping to imagine, build, and launch new products and features. (One recent example: A feature that helps users create and publicize their own private trips to events that our website doesn’t already list.)

• Increasing the appeal of the website to new visitors; helping experienced riders get around faster; making it easier and more fun for people to share trips with their friends; and help us learn more about how people are using the site.

• Managing several projects at the same time without letting the little details slip by comfortably

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience in pure JavaScript; the more, the better

• Good communication skills

• Worked with VDOM-based frameworks such as React

• Predominant front-end experience; HTML/CSS will not need to be written, just worked with

• Nice to have: knows Mithril framework

• Team spirit, Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
