Essential Qualification
- A postgraduate qualification, e.g., MD/MS (Community Medicine/ Social & Preventive Medicine/ Medicine/ Paediatrics/Obstetrics & Gynaecology) of an Indian University/ Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post.
OR
- Master’s degree (regular course – UGC recognized/equivalent) viz. MA/M.Sc. in Nutrition or Applied Nutrition or Food & Nutrition or Master of Public Health (MPH).
- Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline/subject of an Indian University/Institute or its equivalent Ph.D. degree from a reputed foreign University/Institute.
Experience:
- Three years’ teaching and/or research experience in the field of public health nutrition after obtaining the MD/MS or Ph.D. degree.
Upper age limit:
- Not exceeding 50 years as on the closing date i.e., 14.12.2023
MODE OF SELECTION:
- Personal interview / Online by video conferencing

- Eligible applicants fulfilling the essential educational qualifications and experience should fill all the required data and remit the required application fee.
- Application(s) with incomplete information as required, non-remittance of requisite application fee and failure in submission of hard copy and scanned pdf copy of application and relevant enclosures/certificates/documents within the specified period will be rejected without any communication.
- All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to JIPMER employees.
- The crucial date for determination of upper age limit, qualification and experience will be 14.12.2023, i.e., the last date of submission of application.
- No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies
- The application fee once remitted will not be refunded.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Personal interview.
- Canvassing of any kind in favour of any candidate will lead to disqualification.
- The applicant should not have been convicted by any court of law.
- The disputes, if any with regard to eligibility/selection process/appointment etc., will be subject to Jurisdiction of Puducherry/ Chennai.
- Other terms and conditions will be governed by the relevant rules and orders that are in force and amended from time to time.
