Job Description

Basic knowledge in Incident/Change/Problem Management
Well versed with Mainframe production control operations
Monitoring CPU and spool utilization, contention, and pending replies through Mainframe consoles and SDSF
Basic knowledge on LPARS, JCL, MVS, Cobol, Control card updates, Dataset, Long Running DB Thread, Mainframe Job Scheduling and Trouble shooting
Handling Mainframe CICS cycle on weekly basis and doing IPL on monthly basis.
Fixing Mainframe Job failure through changing JOB parameter and re-run it from override library
Modifying Daily Batch as per request sent by user controlling the production batch.
Review daily ticket reports to determine jobs that may require further action for a permanent resolution.
Monitoring Batch cycle for scheduled jobs and report statistics to client
Monitoring events to avoid overdue in batch cycle and consoles for batch abends and checking the system status.
Adhoc scheduling of jobs and processing special run requests.
Enabling and disabling of agents on support team request for special activities
Check for long running jobs and investigate for any loop back issues with batch jobs.
