Job Description
Designation: Journalism Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct research to uncover interesting and significant news
2. Gather, corroborate, and interpret data
3. Interview key persons (witnesses, sources, etc.) to obtain more information
4. Use findings to construct a well-written article
5. Retain awareness of the readers' point of view
6. Obtain first-hand information by being present in happenings
7. Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
8. Comply with the moral code of the profession
9. Maintain notes and audio recordings
10. Establish contacts and sources for use in future research
11. Keep abreast of developments by studying papers, attending events, etc.
Skills & Requirements:
1. MA/diploma in either mass communication and journalism, photojournalism, multimedia, or radio & TV production
2. Good observation and deduction skills
3. Current knowledge of headlines and affairs
4. Computer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases)
5. Work experience of 1 year preferred
6. Proficiency in Hindi required
