Job Description
- To code on Medical reports assigning appropriate CPT & ICD codes based on the documentation and per the client specification.
- Work on medical reports assigning appropriate CPT, ICD and modifiers based on the documentation provided
- Follow project specific guidelines without any deviation.
- Check the LCD policy for medicare patients
- Performs assigned tasks/ completes targets with speed and accuracy as per client SLAs
- Compliance with client/project guidelines, business rules and training provided, company's quality system and policies
- Communication / Issue escalation to seniors if there is any in a timely manner
- Willing to learn and keep self-updated with latest codes
- Work cohesively in a team setting. Assist team members to achieve shared goals.
- Punctuality is expected althe time
- Medicacoding is the process of converting a medicadiagnosis or symptoms, procedures, and drugs into alpha numeric codes using ICD-9 CM, ICD - 10 and CPT Code Books.
- Accurate medicacoding is essential to healthcare industry.
- MedicaCoder reviews the documentation contained in patient's medical records and translates the same into universally accepted, industry standard medical codes.
- These codes are used to submit claims to third party payers, and to gather statisticainformation.
- Need to validate the medicarecords with good quality & deliver the output with stipulated TAT
