Junior Research Fellow (JRF) purely on contractual basis at Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute

Project on :“Unravelling the candidate genomic regions regulating MYMIV resistance and extra-earliness traits in mungbean using RNA-Seq and Genotyping-by-sequencing approaches’’

Pay Scale : Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs 35,000/- + 24% HRA for 3rd year

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (i.e Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Plant Science/ Life Sciences) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (i.e. Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Pathology/ Bioinformatics) selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests -CSIRUGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE. DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers and proficiency in computer skills

Age limit: Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for JRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST &women and three years for OBC).
