JRF Bioinformatics recruitment in Tezpur University on temporary

Title : “Integrative systems biology approach to identify the molecular response signatures in Rice during concurrent biotic (Rhizoctonia solani) and abiotic (heat) stresses" 

Qualification :  Masters degree in Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany)/Agriculture/ Computer Science/ IT/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics with at-least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate or B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology or MCA with at-least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate. Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates having some experience in computational analysis of genome sequences, Next Generation Sequencing data analysis. Candidates with biology background should have basic computer programming skill and inclination towards learning and implementing computational tools for OMICs data analysis. Candidates with Computer Science/ IT/Physics/Mathematics/Statistics background should have basic understanding of biology and inclination towards solving biological problems by collaborating with biologists. Experience to work in high performance computing environment will be added advantage

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/-

Age : 28 years

Duration: Initially for a period of one (01) year, which may be extended up to three (03) years or till completion of the project depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent or until further order, whichever is earlier.
