JRF Biological Sciences recruitment in ICGEB, New Delhi
DBT sponsored project to work on threedimensional structure determination of mammalian ion-channel and structure-based inhibitor discovery for cancer therapy.
Qualifications: MSc/MTech degree in Biological Sciences/Physical/Chemical sciences. To receive full salary, candidates must have cleared GATE or CSIR-UGC NET or any other national entrance examination conducted by: DST/DBT/DAE/DOS/DRDO/MHRD/ICAR/ICMR/IIT/IISc/IISER etc., as per DST
notification dated: January 30 2019. Only Indian nationals can apply for this position.
Experience: Candidates with experience in protein overexpression, purification, crystallization, mammalian cell culture, computational biology, target structure-based drug design will be preferred, but not mandatory.
Job description: Cloning, ion-channel overexpression in mammalian cell line, detergent screening using F-SEC, large scale protein purification and preparation for cryo-EM and crystallization. Structure-based small molecule drug design using Schrodinger suite.
No.of Post: 1
Fellowship and Duration: Rs.31000/- + 24 % HRA =38,440 Rs per month. The project is funded for 2 years. The position is available for the first six months and will be extended based on the performance.
