Job Description
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is looking for meritorious young researchers for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF – 01 Post)
Project titled :‘Sulfuric acid mediated weathering in the Ganga, Yamuna and the Brahmaputra (GYB) River Basins: Constraints from Sulfur and oxygen isotopes in dissolved sulfate’ funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India.

Eligibility: The candidate must be M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Geology and ALL allied specializations/ Environmental Sciences with at least 55% marks and passed NET/GATE examination.
Upper age limit should not exceed 28 years. In the event of non-availability of suitable NET/GATE qualified candidate, a Project Fellow (M. Sc. without NET or GATE) may be appointed on lesser emoluments as per the existing rules.

Desired: Candidate should be able to travel extensively for sampling. Familiarity with basic analytical/chemical processing of samples and willing to work with instruments are additional requisite qualities.
Duration: One year, (May be extended to 2nd and 3rd year based on the performance)
Fellowship: Candidates with NET/GATE: Rs. 31000 (+8% HRA) per month for first two years, and Rs. 35,000 (+8% HRA) per month in the 3rd year.
For candidates without GATE/NET appointment will be in the Project Assistant level-II and the fellowship will be paid as per the existing rules.
