JRF Mechanical Engineering Job Opportunity at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal
Project: “Improvement in the properties of thermally sprayed Hydroxyapatite bio-ceramic coating reinforced with nanostructured materials”
No of vacancies: 01 Position
Essential Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5/10 CGPA) and M. Tech/M. E in Manufacturing Engineering or technology or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5/10 CGPA). A good GATE score will be an added advantage. Those who are appearing for M.Tech/ M.E last semester may also apply. Proof of M.Tech/ M.E certificate has to be provided during the time of interview. Mechanical Engineering Stream with specialization in Manufacturing Engineering.
Desired Skills:
- Work experience related to thermal spray coating fabrication, characterization and analysis.
- The candidate should know the fundamentals of biomaterials, especially in thermal spray coating.
- The candidate should know the fundamentals of materials and metallurgy.
- Ability to work in a team, good communication skills and experience in experimental research.
Age Limit: 28 years
Salary: Rs. 25,000/month (for 1st and 2nd year), Rs. 28,000/month (for 3rd year)
Duration: Three years or up to the termination of the project, subject to annual performance review. The candidate is entitled to register for the Ph.D. programme at NITK- Surathkal
