Job Description
1. Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for a JRF position in the SERBDST research project “Multiscale modelling of noncarbon nanomaterials and their reinforced polymer composite materials and structures”
2. Position: Junior Research Fellow
3. Brief description of the project: Objective of the project is investigating nonlinear mechanics of the noncarbon nanomaterials using multiscale modelling, atomistic simulation and finite element method. The mechanics of noncarbon nanomaterials reinforced composite materials is also a part of the project
4. Eligibility: M.E/M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Design Engineering/Applied Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering (with at least 60% marks or first class or equivalent). Candidates should have sound knowledge of strength of materials, mechanical vibrations and machine design. A GATE qualification is mandatory but valid GATE is not required.
5. Duration: The initial appointment will be till March 26, 2022 and extendable up to 6 more months depending upon the final decision of the funding agency; and thereafter successful candidate can also be considered for admission to the Ph.D. program under institute fellowship in continuation to same research area depending on their performance and eligibility criteria given by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Indore.
6. Stipend: Rs 31,000/- per month.
