Job Description
Project Title : “DNA Barcoding and Domestication of Ornamental Fishes of The Chindwin and Barak-Surma-Meghna River Basins of Northeast India”
Essential Qualification: M.F.Sc./ M.Sc. in Fisheries Science/ Zoology/ Life Sciences with Specialization in Fisheries Desirable Qualification: Proficient in eco-biological sample collection and analysis including knowledge of DTP and statistical analysis
Emoluments : @ Rs. 25000/- pm for 1st & 2nd year and @ Rs. 28000/- pm for 3rd year plus 30% HRA for NET qualified candidate. @ Rs.12000/- pm the 1st and 2nd year and @ Rs. 14000/- pm for the 3rd year plus 30% HRA for non- NET/GATE qualified candidate
Age Limit: Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC Candidates, as per Govt. India rules in force
Duration : Up to January, 2020

The Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai was established in the year 1961, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. The Administrative control of this Institute was transferred to ICAR in 1979. Subsequently, the scope and mandate have been widened to include education, research and extension. Recognising the pivotal role played by the Institute in Human Resources Development in fisheries, the Institute was accorded the status of Deemed-to-be- University in March, 1989
