DST- SERB sponsored project entitled 'Plant cell culture strategies for the enhanced production of Sennoside from Tinneyvelly senile (Senna alexandrina Mill.) and assessing its Pharmacological activity'.

Eligibility : Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology or in Life Sciences with NET qualification or graduate degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or postgraduate degree in relevant Professional Course. NET qualification includes DBT-BET, CSIR-UGC. GATE. GPAT, 1CMR-JRF, ICAR-AICEJEST. JGEEBILS conducted by Central Government.

Candidate with Masters / M.Phil. in Biotechnology or in Life Sciences with Biotechnology as a subject will be considered if none available with NET qualification.

Desirable : Experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Molecular Techniques with Qualification relevant track records.

Age Limit : 28 years (Maximum); Relaxation will be given as per DST- SERB norms. Fellowship : JRF with NET ® Rs 25.000 + HRA as per DST- SERB norms. JRF without NET ® Rs. 16.000/- + HRA as per DST- SERB norms.
