Job Description

JRF Mechanical Engg.position under SERB-DST funded project

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical

Engineering at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a SERB-DST sponsored research project

titled “Design and development of innovative SHM system using embedded piezo based active sensing

approach for delamination detection in multi-layer composite structures".

Fellowship amount (Rs.): Rs.31000 p.m.

Qualification: Candidates must hold a 1st Class M.Tech/MS/ME/B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical engineering, Structural engineering or equivalent. Candidates having good knowledge in structural health monitoring/active sensing/controls/smart materials will be given preference.

Candidates will be required to conduct experiments and computational studies as part of the project work.

Candidates with GATE/ NET qualification will be preferred.

Note: Selected candidate will get a chance to apply for PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa
