Qualifications : Postgraduate degree in basic science with NET/GATE/BET qualification or Graduate degree in professional course with NET/GATE/BET qualification or postgraduate degree in professional course as per DST OM No. SR/S9Z-09/2012 dated 21 st October, 2014. Preferred subjects: Animal Physiology, Animal Reproduction, Biochemistry and Biotechnology. Candidates without NET/GATE/BET qualification may also be considered for selection, but the remuneration will be lesser than that of NET/GATE/BET qualified candidates.
Desirable Qualifications : Working experience in Cell culture and
genomics work (RNA isolation, PCT, Quantitative PCR etc.)
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (if accommodation is not provided) for candidates with NET/GATE/BET qualification. Rs. 12,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (if accommodation is not provided) for candidates without NET/GATE/BET qualification.
Age limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview

The National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (NIANP) was established on 24th November 1995 at Bangalore under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The Institute is mandated to conduct basic and fundamental research with respect to animal feed resource management using physiological-nutritional approaches to improve animal productivity and profitability of livestock farmers.
