Project titled “Synergistic applications of satellite Earth observation data- microwave SAR, IR and visual satellite data for the validation of Ocean State Forecast for north Kerala coast”
Essential Qualification: A pass in M.Sc. (Oceanography or Meteorology) OR M. Sc. Remote Sensing and GIS with subject papers / courses covering Marine Science Applications OR M.Tech. (Ocean Technology or Atmospheric Sciences) OR M.Tech Remote Sensing with subject papers / courses covering Marine Science Applications, with a minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point grading system.
Desirable : [A] NET Qualified [B] Proficiency in Satellite data retrieval & processing applying appropriate software packages – Primewin / SeaDAS / ENVI / alike [C] Sufficient knowledge and good background in using Ferret/GMT, MATLAB, PYTHON, GrADS on Linux / Windows platforms and [D] Participation in training programs related to satellite data retrieval, image processing, alike.
Fellowship: Rs. 25000/- p.m. + HRA for 1st & 2nd year for UGC-CSIR NET qualified candidates and Rs. 16000/- p.m. + HRA – for 1st & 2nd year for non NET qualified candidates .
Age: Not more than 30 years as on 1-1-2018.
