Qualifications :  a. B.Sc. Agri./B.Sc. Agri. (Hons)/ B.Sc. Biotech. (Hons) 4 - year/ B.Sc. Forestry/B.Sc. Hort. B.Sc. /B.Sc. Biotech. 4-year/ B.Tech. Biotech. 4-year/ B.Sc. Molecular Biology 4-year with minimum OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or OCPA 5.00/10.00 basis or 50% marks.  b. M.Sc. Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics, M.Sc. Biotech./Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Life Sciences with minimum OGPA 3.40/10.00 or OCPA 6.50 out of 10.00 basis or 65 % marks. c. Student should be enrolled in the Ph D programme of Plant Breeding & Genetics or Plant Biotechnology at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.  d. Student will work on the mandate of the project and his Doctoral Research will be related to the project.

Note  : Candidates having postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with three years Bachelor’s degree must have NET qualification and two years research experience. The candidates should ensure that they fulfill the qualifications by the last date of submission of application.

Desirable : Research work in field related to the project.

Pay Scale : (Leading to Ph.D) @ Rs. 25000/- p. m + HRA 20% for I^st and 2^nd year and Rs. 28000/ p.m + HRA 20% onward provided in the scheme
