Job Description
Applications are invited for the following posts to work in a NCDIR (ICMR) sponsored project 'Identification Of Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC) syndrome families with breast cancer and their BRCAI & BRCA2 gene mutation profiling in North East Indian population' at Dr B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati. The positions are temporary and on contractual basis. The appointment will be made initially for one year.

Eligibility : Candidates holding 's degree with o aggregate or more [55% for SC/ST] in the subjects of Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology or any relevant branches Of Life sciences Must have NET/GATE qualification Or similar other national level exams
Desirable Candidates having experience in Genetic counselling and or molecular biology techniques
Salary :Rs.31,000 + HRA as admissible

Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah (4th September 1893 - 25th September 1956) was a great physician, freedom fighter and philanthropist of Assam. In 1958 at a public meeting in Guwahati, a decision was taken to set up a cancer hospital at Guwahati to commemorate the memory of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah.
