Job Description
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positionsin the DBT Multi-Institutional Project entitled “Characterization of Genetic Resources: Mainstreaming rice landraces diversity in varietal development through genome-wide association studies: A model for large-scale utilization of gene bank collections of rice”of Dr. Aashish Ranjan, Scientist, NIPGR.
Junior Research Fellow/Project Associate-I (two posts): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project.
Upper age limit for Project Associate-I: 35 years.
Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests (for Junior Research Fellow) as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019 or Non- Net qualified candidates (for Project Associate-I) as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated August 21, 2019 and having M.Sc. degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Agriculture/Plant Science/Botany/Life Sciences/Biotechnologyor equivalent in master degree are eligible to apply.
Candidate having strong basic understanding of genetics, plant breeding, molecular biology and plant physiology is required. Candidate with prior work experience in plant breeding, genomics, molecular biology, and or field phenotyping are encouraged to apply.
