JRF/SRF Basic Science Job in NIT Rourkela at Rourkela

Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project to carry out research work, experiments and analysis in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering.

1. Name of the Temporary Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior research Fellow (SRF) – 2 Nos

2. Name of the Research Project: Development of a force plate sensor cum kinematic sensor node for comprehensive gait profiling for early detection of locomotive syndrome [Project code: SR/21/BM/004].

3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India

4. Tenure of the Project: 03 Years

5. Tenure of the Assignment: 03 Years

6. Job Description: Research work

7. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. for 1st year and 2nd year. Rs. 35,000/- p.m for 3rd year

8. Essential Qualifications and experience: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

9. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

b.) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR,, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

10. Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences: M.E/M.Tech with minimum 60% marks or equivalent Previous research experience related to the project is preferred. Final year students (BTech/MTech) who are graduating in May/June 2021 with GATE qualified are encouraged to apply
