Job Description

JRF job vacancies in Zoological Survey of India on temporary basis

Project Title  :  “Taxonomic studies on family Nolidae (Lepidoptera) from North East India”

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification  :  M.Sc. in Zoology/ Entomology/ Life Sciences or Equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university

Desirable :  The project involves intensive and extensive collection surveys in North East India and candidates willing to work extensively in the field shall be preferred. Candidates having knowledge of Entomology will be given preference.

Emoluments :  Fellowship of Rs 25,000/- plus HRA (NET/GATE qualified) for the initial two years as JRF and in third year Rs 28,000/- plus HRA as SRF will be provided. Fellowship of Rs. 16000/- plus HRA for the (Non NET/GATE qualified) for the initial two years and in third year Rs 18,000/- plus HRA will be provided.

Age Limit :  Upper age limit is 28 years as on the date of Interview. However, the upper age limit may be relaxed as per Govt. of India rules.

Place of Work :  Zoological Survey of India, Gangetic Plains Regional Centre, Patna with the liability of extensive and long field surveys to the North East India (Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, West Bengal & Arunachal Pradesh)
