Junior Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for an Junior Accountant to perform accounting tasks. Junior Accountant responsibilities including GST returns, TDS returns, Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Duties:
- TDS returns
- GST returns
- Income Tax Returns
- Accounts Finalization
- Income tax Audit
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Entry and Bookkeeping:

Enter daily financial transactions into accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books).

Record income, expenses, purchase bills, and sales invoices.

Maintain proper documentation of receipts, vouchers, bank statements, and other financial documents.

Organize files and ensure that records are up to date and easily accessible.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Assist in processing vendor bills and employee reimbursements.
-
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers or clients for dues.

Generate sales and purchase invoices and ensure proper GST implementation.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in bills or ledgers.
3. Bank Reconciliation:

Perform monthly bank reconciliation of company accounts.

Match transactions in the bank statements with company financial records.

Identify and report discrepancies or missing entries to the senior accountant.
4. Taxation and Compliance Support:
-
Help prepare GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS filing, and other statutory requirements.

Maintain records required for audits and government inspections.

Coordinate with the tax consultant or CA firm for filing returns and submitting compliance documents.
5. Support in Financial Reporting:

Assist in preparing financial reports such as trial balance, profit & loss statement, and balance sheet.

Help compile reports for internal use or management reviews.

Participate in monthly and year-end closing activities.
6. Audit Preparation:
-
Help in compiling and organizing financial data for internal and external audits.

Ensure all financial documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.

Cooperate with auditors to answer queries and provide necessary support.
7. Petty Cash and Expense Tracking:
-
Handle petty cash transactions, log entries, and prepare summaries for reimbursement.

Track and categorize company expenses, verifying supporting bills and receipts.
8. Communication and Coordination:
-
Liaise with vendors, customers, and banks as needed.

Coordinate with other departments for approvals, purchase orders, and payment clearances.

Respond to inquiries related to accounting or billing matters.
