Working as a Back End Engineer at Signify is dynamic. You‘ll be working on latest back end technologies with IoT platforms. We’re greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities. We’re looking for a Back End Engineer who’ll be responsible for understanding the product requirements, design, development and test back-end software for Lighting Products.

You’ll be part of the Signify Connected Systems and its responsibilities are building IOT based Smart Lighting products , so Problem Solving, Taking ownership, Accountability, Drive for results must be in your DNA.

What You’ll Do

• Enhance existing and/or develop new software that enables the launch of new enterprise software products, functionality and services with various web technologies.
• Work with the other software development team members when coordinating on large projects.
• Translate requirements into software in line with project vision.
• Participate in the definition of both the functional and non-functional requirements of the system.
• Participate and contribute in sprint planning, demo and retrospective.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
  

What You’ll Need

• Bachelors degree in Engineering with 3 to 5 years’ experience in developing Web based application using J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot
• Experience producing/ consuming REST Web services, micro services architecture
• Strong knowledge of Web Application architecture and Servlet/JSP/JSF programming
• Excellent knowledge of database concepts, data modeling tools, and use of relational DBMS.
• Experience using MySql, PostgreSQL and Tomcat technologies and tools
