Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Ensuring platform uptime and response times within proposed SLAs
Carrying out routine systems administration for Windows and Linux Server (physical and virtual) with focus on uptime and compliance.
Carrying out routine network administration for the production network consisting of firewall, load balancers, auto-scaling, and virtual private connection.
Monitor the production systems to ensure uptime with/without NMS
Take part as required in out of hours cover to support the production systems, therefore shift work.
Implementing processes, disciplines, and controls for use by the operations team
Helping in developing and reporting on operations team KPIs and identifying and delivering action plans to address any issues.
Carrying out requested changes and deployments in the staging and production as per set guidelines and procedures
Providing 2nd and 3rd line support services to existing clients

Core Capabilities:
1. Experience in building Windows and Linux servers with a high standard of security and reliability including web servers, DNS, SQL / NoSQL database administration2.Experienced working on AWS
3. Web server administration – Apache / NGINX / IIS including load balancer implementation and management 4.Experience with AWS / GCP / Azure / Alibaba service providers5. Administration of Windows 2008 and above, Linux – CentOS/Ubuntu/AMI Linux6. Administration of Oracle/MS SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS preferable7. Backup technologies: snapshot, replication, volume backup, and routine data protection methodologies8. Ability to write shell scripts
