Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Lab Technician to support laboratory testing across various domains such as water, food, herbal, cosmetics, soil, and chemical analysis. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing samples, conducting routine laboratory tests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all procedures are performed according to established quality and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Preparation & Testing

Assist in the preparation of samples for testing according to standard procedures.

Conduct routine tests and measurements on:

Water samples (e.g., pH, TDS, turbidity)
-
Food products (e.g., moisture content, adulteration checks)
-
Herbal and cosmetic items (e.g., microbial testing, stability)
-
Soil samples (e.g., nutrient analysis, texture classification)
-
Chemical substances (e.g., titrations, solubility tests)

Laboratory Operations
-
Operate and maintain basic lab instruments such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, analytical balances, ovens, etc.

Calibrate equipment as per the schedule and report any faults to the supervisor.

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the lab environment.
Documentation & Reporting

Record test results accurately in lab logs or digital systems.

Label and organize samples properly to avoid mix-ups.

Maintain proper documentation for traceability and audits.
Support Activities

Assist senior technicians and analysts in complex testing procedures.

Manage inventory of lab consumables and inform when stocks are low.

Follow proper safety protocols, including use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience:

Prefer experience in a laboratory setting.

Freshers with strong academic background and lab exposure are welcome.
Skills:

Basic understanding of lab procedures and safety protocols.

Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and glassware.
