of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences
Project Title : “Developing
epigenetic models of stress induced gene silencing”
Qualification : M.Sc.
in Biotechnology/Life Science/Microbiology (other associated disciplines might
be considered depending on relevance). Applicants should have at least First
class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) or equivalent in last qualifying
degree. Applicants with prior research experience in the field of
epigenetics/algal biology/molecular biology/biochemistry/cell biology will be
given preference. A fair knowledge of handling basic softwares (eg. MS Word,
Excel etc) is desirable (not compulsory). Candidates who have appeared for
their final year exam by April/May 2018 will also be considered, subject to
satisfying above criteria by September 1, 2018
Emoluments : Selected candidate (if they are NET qualified) will be paid monthly emoluments of Rs.25,000/- (plus 30 % HRA, if not residing in Govt accommodation). For the candidates who are not NET qualified the emolument with be 12,000/- (plus 30 % HRA, if not residing in Govt accommodation). She/he will be required to arrange own accommodation in Mumbai
