Job Summary:
A Junior Recruiter is an entry-level role in the Human Resources or Talent Acquisition department, responsible for supporting the recruitment team in identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates. This role provides foundational experience in sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews and offers an opportunity to learn the complete recruitment life cycle. Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and Screening Candidates

Assist in sourcing potential candidates using online job portals, internal databases, professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn), and referrals.

Use keyword-driven searches to identify resumes matching the job requirements.

Screen resumes and applications to shortlist candidates based on the job description.

Conduct initial screening calls to evaluate candidate interest, availability, communication skills, and basic qualifications.
2. Job Posting and Advertisement

Post job openings on company career pages, job boards (e.g., Naukri, Indeed, LinkedIn), and social media platforms.

Ensure all job postings are accurate, well-formatted, and reflect the correct job requirements and expectations.

Coordinate with the marketing or branding team to promote openings as part of employer branding initiatives.
3. Candidate Communication

Act as the first point of contact for candidates during the early stages of the recruitment process.

Send job descriptions and application guidelines to interested candidates.

Schedule interviews between shortlisted candidates and hiring managers or senior recruiters.

Provide timely updates to candidates about interview feedback, next steps, or rejection status.
4. Interview Coordination

Schedule and organize interviews (virtual, telephonic, or in-person) with panel members.

Share candidate profiles, interview schedules, and necessary information with interviewers in advance.

Coordinate logistical arrangements such as meeting links, test requirements, or assessment tools.

Follow up with both candidates and interviewers to ensure timely feedback and decisions.
5. Database Management

Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate records and recruitment status.

Tag, categorize, and archive resumes and candidate information for future opportunities.

Generate basic reports and dashboards related to hiring status, candidate pipelines, and job post performance.
6. Offer Process Support

Assist in collecting required documentation for offer processing (e.g., ID proof, academic certificates, previous employment details).

Support the preparation and dispatch of offer letters under the guidance of senior recruiters or HR managers.

Track offer acceptance, joining dates, and candidate queries related to the onboarding process.
7. Market Research and Recruitment Support

Conduct basic research on talent availability, industry trends, and competitor hiring strategies.

Support senior team members in organizing hiring drives, walk-ins, campus recruitment events, and job fairs.

Contribute to the maintenance of recruitment trackers and weekly dashboards.
8. Learning and Development

Participate in training programs, workshops, and mentorship sessions to enhance recruitment knowledge and soft skills.

Learn and apply recruitment tools and platforms, including ATS software, job boards, and resume databases.

Seek feedback from seniors to improve performance and understanding of recruitment processes.
