Periyar University invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow

Title of the project: Insights into the mechanisms of Fe and Cd accumulation in rice: Prospecting towards Fe-enriched Cd-free rice

Total Vacancy: 1 Post

Education Requirement: M.Sc

Qualification (Essential): M.Sc. in Environmental Science/Botany/Biotechnology/Life Sciences (candidate who has qualified with NET/GATE/ICAR/UGC-CSIR will be preferred)

Qualification (Desirable): Candidates with working field experience in the soil and plant sampling & heavy metal analyses will be given preference

Job Locations: Salem

Age Limit: Below 30 years

Experience: 0 - 1 years

Duration: Two years or extendable up to the duration of the project

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month fixed for two years. The amount of JRF will be as per SERB norms(In the case of non NET or above mentioned National level exams, the emolument shall be Rs. 16,000/- + HRA per month)
