• Applications are invited from motivated and bright candidates for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project funded under ‘*BRNS, DAE’* scheme, Government of India, at the Dept of physics, GITAM University Hyderabad
  
• Title of the Research Project: Development of Na-ion battery using glass based anode and cathode materials
  
• Principal Investigator: Dr Balaji Rao, Professor and HOD

Qualifications:

• Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Physics/ Material Science/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/Applied Sciences/ Engineering
  
• Desirable: NET/GATE/SET/SLET etc.
  
• Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 3 August 2018 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India
  
• Salary: Rs.25,000/-pm for two years and Rs. 28,000/- pm for 3rd year
  
• Project duration: Initially for one year and likely to be renewed & extended further based on mutual agreement and the performance of the candidate

General Terms and Conditions:

• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria.
  
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
