Assistant/Technician Job position in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University
1. Junior Research/Project Fellow
Qualification : M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences/Bio-Sciences or equivalent with good academic record. Preference will be given to candidates having R&D experience in establishment and maintenance of medicinal and aromatic plants nurseries, assistance in farmer’s trainings/ meetings and any extra technical qualification.
Maximum monthly emoluments : Rupees 25,000/Month + 10% HRA for NET qualified candidate and Rupees 16000/Month + 10% HRA for non NET candidate.
Age: up to 28 years for Junior Research/Project Fellow.
2. Lab/Office Assistant/Technician
Qualification : Candidates having experience in establishment and maintenance of medicinal and aromatic plants nurseries, assistance in farmer’s trainings/ meetings and any technical qualification. Desirable qualifications for all the post: Experience in plant propagation and establishment particularly medicinal and aromatic plants, stay and willing to undertake extensive travel in Himalayan region for germplasm collection, field level studies and organizing farmer’s trainings programmes/ meetings related to the project objectives. Preference will be given to multi skill candidate having experience of electricity work and maintenance of laboratory instruments
Maximum monthly emoluments : Rupees 12,000/Month + 10% HRA
Age : 45 years
Period of project : The period of project is three years
from the date of execution and extended upto maximum five years on the basis of
work progress. The selection of the candidate for the post does not confer any
right of regular appointment in the Centre.

The name of the university was rechristened to Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in 1989 in commemoration of the memory of a leading statesman of the country, the son of the soil Shri Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, and subsequently established as Central University under the provision of the Central Universities Ordinance, 2009, No.3 of 2009 published in the gazette of India, extraordinary Part-II, Sec-I, New Delhi, 15 January 2009.
