Job Description
Junior Scientic Officer (Physical Chemistry) Job Opportunity at Natonal Sugar Insttutes Kanpur Department of Food & Public Distributons Ministry of Consumer Afairss Food & Public Distributons by Composite method: Deputaton (including short term contract// Promoton.
Essential:
(i) Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry or Master’s Degree in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry as one of the papers from a recognized University or Institute.
(ii) three years’ experience of research work in Physical Chemistry or three years working experience in a sugar factory or distillery or other related industrial units or three years teaching experience at degree level in Physical Chemistry.
Note: The experience shall be considered after having attained the essential educational qualifications.
Desirable: Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry or Master’s Degree in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry as one of the subjects with Doctorate in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute.
Note: The Departmental Research Assistant (Physical Chemistry) in the Level-6 (Rs. 35,400-1,12,400) with eight years’ regular service in the grade shall also be considered along with outsiders for appointment on deputation and in case such person is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.

Age Limit: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.
Place of posting: The Headquarters of the post is at Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), but the officer selected will have the liability to serve anywhere in India.
Duties attached to the post:
(i) Teaching, Research and Advisory.
(ii) Any other work assigned by Professor (Physical Chemistry)/ Director.
Scale of Pay: a General Central Services Group ‘A’ Gazeteds Non-Ministerial post in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39s100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5s400/-s as per 6th CPC/ in Natonal Sugar Insttutes Kanpur (UP/s a sub-ordinate ofce of the Department of Food & Public Distributons by Composite method: Deputaton (including short term contract)/ Promoton.
