Essential qualification :
1. Minimum 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned
discipline with at least 55% marks/ equivalent OGPA
2. Minimum 2nd Class Master’s Degree in the concerned
subject with at least 55% marks/ equivalent OGPA.
3. The candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test
(NET) with one publication in NAAS* (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences)
rated journal.
4. The candidate having Ph.D. degree with Course Work in the
relevant subject as prescribed in the UGC Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted
from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of National
Eligibility Test (NET) and the candidate has at least 02(two) full length
publication having “NAAS* rating not less than 4 on the last date of
application. The candidate with Ph.D. Degree without course work will not qualify
for NET exemption. For NET exemption to the candidates registered for Ph.D.
programme prior to 11.07.2009 is required the NET essentiality for recruitment
to the post of Asst. Professor and equivalent in the discipline in which NET is
conducted. For the candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11.07.2009 shall be
exempted from the NET subject to condition that :
(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode
only.
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. Thesis by at least two external
examiners
(c) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate has been
conducted.
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/
her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in refereed journal.
(e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in
conference/ seminars based on his/her Ph.D. work. (a) to (e) above are to be
certified by the Vice-Chancellor / ProV.C. / Dean (Academic Affairs/ Dean,

Scale of pay :
Rs.15,600-39,100+AGP Rs.6,000/- With usual DA & other allowances as
admissible (4)
Retirement age :
60 (Sixty) years
