Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing daily construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards.
- Support the preparation of site reports, quality checks, and documentation.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor site progress and provide updates to the senior engineer or project manager.
- Help ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Participate in site inspections and testing to confirm work quality and adherence to standards.
- Assist with setting out, leveling, and surveying the site using appropriate tools and software.
- Interpret construction drawings and provide technical advice when required.
- Record keeping of site activities, labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Communicate with team members to resolve issues or report on potential delays or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant site experience (internships or industrial training are a plus).
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Familiarity with engineering software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.) is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly.
- Willingness to be on-site and work flexible hours if required.
