Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Development & Programming

Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code for hospital systems and applications, including patient management software, billing systems, and scheduling tools.

Work with senior developers to design and implement software features and applications that meet hospital requirements.

Assist in the development of custom applications or integrate third-party systems with existing hospital infrastructure.
2. System Maintenance & Support

Provide support and troubleshooting for existing software applications, diagnosing issues and implementing fixes or improvements.

Participate in regular software updates, including bug fixes, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.

Ensure all software systems comply with healthcare regulations and industry standards, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) for patient data security and confidentiality.
3. Collaboration with Healthcare Teams

Collaborate with healthcare staff, including doctors, nurses, and administrative personnel, to understand the software requirements and translate them into functional applications.

Provide technical support to medical and administrative staff for using software systems efficiently.

Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all departments understand software capabilities and limitations.
4. Database Management

Assist in the management and maintenance of hospital databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.

Work with senior developers to design and implement database solutions, including patient records, billing, appointment scheduling, and other hospital-related data.

Ensure secure access to sensitive patient data and implement encryption and access controls to protect data privacy.
5. Software Testing & Quality Assurance

Write and execute unit tests to ensure the functionality of software applications before deployment.

Work with quality assurance teams to perform system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.

Participate in troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by users, ensuring rapid resolution and system reliability.
6. Continuous Improvement & Learning

Stay updated on the latest software development trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly in healthcare technology.

Participate in training sessions to improve technical skills and keep up with changes in the healthcare industry and software development standards.

Take an active role in code reviews, learning from senior developers, and providing input on software improvements.
