CT Radiology To follow the Preprocedure norms rigidly To perform the necessary scans To note the observations and prepare the reports To assist the Doctor in all the procedures in the Scan room To report to the Doctor in case of any ambiguity To observe the Doctors at work and get on the job training To assist the departmental staff as and when required To check the room temperature 18 24 c liquid Helium level lower limit and enter it in the logbook every morning To switch on the equipment power supply check whether the selftest is completed and scan menu displayed If not inform Biomedical Engineer or concerned person and record in the break down log book To provide hospital gowns to the patients if needed To make the entries of the patients in the relevant register To make the consent form and safety screen forms MRI Data Sheet To position the patient for MRI scan as per the request given by the referring Doctor To carry out the scan according to the instruction given by the Radiologist To ask the patient to change the dress after the Scan is over and to inform the time for collecting the report from dispatch counter for O P s For I P s to inform that the report will be dispatched at the Ward To document the scan images to keep the films for reporting To send the inpatient reports to the dispatch section and O P reports with films to the MRI receptionist To supervise the junior technicians as and when required To perform any other jobs assigned by the superiors as per exigencies of work Departmental specific quality patient safety indicators Participate in departmental specific quality improvement Follow correct procedure for patient identification and communication of patient information following SBAR To have appropriate knowledge in correct use and maintenance of Biomedical equipment in the work area To provide all infection control practices including device related care isolation precautions and proper wards segregation Not authorized to prescribe or administer any medicine Medication if any should be handled by nursing staff
