Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and creative KG / Art Teacher to teach basic art and art activities to young children (aged 3-6 years) during our evening classes. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with children and the ability to introduce them to the world of art through fun and interactive activities. As a part-time evening teacher, you will be responsible for fostering creativity, developing fine motor skills, and encouraging children to express themselves through various artistic mediums.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Art Instruction:

Teach Basic Art: Introduce children to basic art concepts, such as shapes, colors, patterns, and textures, using age-appropriate techniques.

Engage in Art Activities: Plan and execute engaging art activities such as coloring, painting, drawing, crafting, and clay modeling to help children develop their artistic skills.

Creative Expression: Encourage children to use their imagination and creativity to express themselves through different art forms, fostering confidence and self-expression.
2. Lesson Planning & Execution:

Prepare Lessons: Create simple, creative lesson plans and activities that align with the developmental needs of young children.

Set Up Art Stations: Organize materials and set up creative workstations to provide an exciting environment for children to explore art.

Interactive Learning: Use songs, stories, and fun games to engage children and make the learning process enjoyable and interactive.
3. Classroom Management:

Child Supervision: Supervise children during art sessions, ensuring they are engaged in activities while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

Behavior Management: Implement positive discipline strategies to manage classroom behavior and ensure children are focused and respectful during activities.
4. Develop Motor Skills:

Fine Motor Development: Design activities that enhance children's fine motor skills, such as cutting, drawing, coloring, and using various art tools.

Coordination: Encourage hand-eye coordination through fun and simple art exercises like tracing, molding, and assembling craft projects.
5. Foster Emotional & Social Development:

Encourage Teamwork: Promote social skills and teamwork by incorporating group projects or collaborative art activities.

Boost Confidence: Offer positive reinforcement and praise to build children’s self-esteem and confidence in their artistic abilities.
6. Parent Communication:

Progress Updates: Provide feedback to parents on their child’s progress, artistic development, and areas of improvement.

Exhibit Artwork: Organize mini art shows or exhibitions to showcase children’s work, involving parents and building a sense of accomplishment for the kids.
7. Maintain Cleanliness & Organization:

Organize Supplies: Ensure that all art materials and tools are stored properly and are accessible for the next session.

Safety: Ensure that the classroom is tidy and safe, with appropriate precautions in place for using art supplies (e.g., non-toxic paints, scissors, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field.

A diploma or certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is an added advantage.

Creativity: Strong ability to create engaging and age-appropriate art lessons and activities.

Patience & Empathy: Ability to work with young children and provide a nurturing and encouraging environment.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Classroom Management: Experience with managing young children and ensuring a safe, focused, and positive learning atmosphere.

Organizational Skills: Ability to prepare and organize art materials, manage time effectively, and maintain a clean, orderly classroom.
