KIOCL Limited invites application for the position Geophysicist
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs.50,000/- Consolidated Pay per month
Qualification : Educational Qualification: M.Sc /M.Tech /M.Sc Tech (in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Geophysical Technology) or equivalent degree from a University/Institute/ Board approved or recognized by Government of India/ UGC/ AICTE/ appropriate Statutory Authority with minimum 60% marks.
Experience : Should have at least FIVE (05) years of post-qualification experience in any Govt./ Public/ Private Sector organization of repute preferably in the field of Mineral Exploration with Geophysics component.
Hands on experience in ground Magnetic, Resistivity and Gravity Survey for:
a. Delineation of the continuity and depth of metallic ore deposit
b. Deciphering depth & continuity of sedimentary formations & geotechnical investigations
c. Structural Mapping.
d. Delineation of Basinal Configuration
e. Data acquisition, interpretation and processing using suitable geophysical tools and software’s.
f. Study and interpretation of available aero – geophysical and ground geophysical data.
Software skills in Surfer/Geosoft/GMT/Geomatrix/Prosys II/Track maker is desirable.
Knowledge of LOCAL LANGUAGES is desirable
Responsibilities:
a. Shall work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, on Mineral Exploration Projects assigned, under the directions of the senior executives of KIOCL
i. Shall provide direction and technical expertise while ensuring work outputs are in line with strategic and business plans.
ii. Shall be ready to work in any part of the country as per the requirement of KIOCL
iii. Shall be ready to work for extended hours and shall be physically fit for carrying out the field exploration works.
iv. Shall be expected to be available for field / office work for significant periods as required, with time off in lieu of weekends worked, if any.,
v. Shall adhere to regular clear concise communication of technical results and recommendations through informal and formal reporting
