A. Post Graduate degree with minimum 55% marks in any discipline.
B. Post Graduate degree in Education (M.Ed/ M.A Education) with minimum 55%marks.
C. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Education conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in Education.
D. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
E. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (A) and (B) the candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
7. Minimum eligibility Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor meant for the postcode (6B):
A. Master’s Degree in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks**
B. M.Ed. Degree in specific disability area with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10- point scale of UGC OR An equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI.
C. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers in Education conducted by the UGC, or similar test accredited by the UGC such as SET/ SLET in Education.
D. Notwithstanding anything contained in this notification, candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in Education/Special Education in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges/ Institutions.
E. Valid registration with RCI u/s 19 of RCI Act, 1992 is essential.
8. Minimum eligibility Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor meant for Post Code {17}:Essential:
A. Good Academic Record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in M.P.Ed. (02 yrs. Course) or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University only.
B. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Physical Education conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in Physical Education.
C. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (A) and (B) the candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
D. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
9. Minimum eligibility Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor meant for Post Code {25 (A to H)}:
Essential: A. Good Academic Record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level, in the following subjects or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University i) Postgraduate degree in Sciences/Mathematics/Social Sciences/ Languages/ Commerce/Music/Art with minimum 55%, and ii) M.Ed. degree with minimum 55% marks from recognized University.
B. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers in Education/relevant pedagogic subject conducted by the UGC/ CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC such as SET/SLET.
10. Minimum eligibility Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor meant for postcode {25(I)}:
Essential:
A. Good Academic Record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level (M.P.Ed-2 year) or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.
B. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) in Physical Education for Assistant Professors conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by theUGC such as SET/SLET.
C. Notwithstanding anything contained in this notification candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
11. Minimum eligibility Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor meant for postcode {25 (J)}:
Essential:
A. Good academic records with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level, in the following subjects or an equivalent degree from an Indian / Foreign University i) Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ Psychology/ Philosophy with minimum 55% marks; and ii) M.Ed. degree with minimum 55% marks; from recognized University. OR i) Post Graduate (MA) degree in Education with minimum 55% marks; and ii) B.Ed./B.El.Ed. degree with minimum 55% marks.
b)Criteria for assessment of Research Performance by Selection Committee: Quality of research publication-quality of journal (Scopus/SCI etc.),impact factor (Clarivate),Citations etc. Applicant shall be required to submit maximum 5 best publications alongwith proof of Indexing/ citation etc
c) Criteria for assessment of Domain Knowledge :Domain knowledge test and/ or Assessment by Selection committee through interaction
d) Criteria for assessment of Teaching Skills : 5-10 minutes presentation before Selection Committee. Assessment on the basis of communication, expression, confidence and response to queries
e) Criteria for assessment during Interview : Performance in the interview shall be judged on the basis of subject knowledge, communication skills, confidence, creative and analytical thinking, quality of responses, knowledge of ICT tools, etc. and over all personality in an aggregate manner.
f) Criteria for shortlisting of Candidates for consideration before Selection Committee : Top 15 candidates will be shortlisted against one post and additional 5 for every additional post based on the total merit points of Academic record and/ or Domain Knowledge. In case Domain Knowledge test is conducted, it will be mandatory to score minimum 40 % marks in it for consideration of candidature.
g) Criteria for selection committee meeting and decision : 1. Selection Committee meeting will be held only if three eligible candidates apply for the post. 2. The decision of Selection committee shall be final and binding regarding suitability of a candidate for the post. Merely having merit points will not bestow any right of appointment to a candidate.
