Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled L1 Field Engineer to provide on-site technical support for server, storage, and networking infrastructure. The ideal candidate will handle installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT hardware at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment
- Provide hardware break-fix support and replacements
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules
- Configure basic network settings and connectivity
- Install and update firmware/drivers
- Document all service activities and maintain service records
- Coordinate with L2/L3 teams for escalations
- Manage spare parts inventory and replacements
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels
Technical Requirements:
Server Knowledge:
- Basic server hardware architecture
- RAID configurations
- Windows/Linux OS installation
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Server maintenance procedures
Storage Knowledge:
- Basic storage concepts (DAS/NAS/SAN)
- Disk management
- RAID configurations
- Storage connectivity (FC/iSCSI)
Networking Knowledge:
- Basic TCP/IP concepts
- Network cabling
- Switch configuration
- Basic routing/switching
- Network troubleshooting
