Job Description
Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting routine diagnostic tests and sample collections at various medical camps, clinics, or hospitals. The role involves fieldwork and traveling to different locations within Gujarat. Candidates must have a degree in Laboratory Nursing or any healthcare-related field and should be comfortable with working in a mobile or multi-location healthcare environment.
This position is ideal for male candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in laboratory work, particularly in a field-based or community health setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sample Collection & Handling

Collect biological samples (e.g., blood, urine, swabs) from patients while ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

Label, store, and transport samples properly for laboratory analysis.

Follow proper documentation protocols for each sample collected.
2. Diagnostic Testing & Reporting

Conduct standard tests such as blood glucose, hemoglobin, blood pressure, rapid diagnostic tests, or other assigned procedures.

Record results accurately and communicate them to supervisors or healthcare professionals as required.

Assist in preparing and maintaining laboratory reports and records.
3. Field Operations & Travel

Travel to assigned locations across Gujarat for conducting health camps, diagnostic drives, or on-site testing.

Set up mobile lab stations and ensure all equipment and materials are arranged appropriately.

Coordinate with local healthcare staff, patients, or organizers at each location.
4. Equipment Management

Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments such as centrifuges, glucometers, BP monitors, or rapid test kits.

Ensure equipment is cleaned and sterilized before and after use.

Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the concerned department.
5. Compliance & Safety

Follow proper bio-waste disposal procedures as per medical standards.

Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of gloves, masks, and sanitization routines.

Ensure patient confidentiality and ethical handling of medical data and samples.
6. Coordination & Reporting
-
Maintain daily logs of samples collected, tests conducted, and patients screened.

Submit daily or weekly reports to the project manager or lab coordinator.

Communicate effectively with team members and report any field-related challenges.
Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Laboratory Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Pathology, Healthcare, or any other health sciences field.
