Primary School Teachers recruitment in Lakshadweep Administration-Directorate of Education
Qualification : (I) classes I - V (14 Posts)
(a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) wits at least 50% marks and 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education {by whatever name known)OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure). Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% narks and 4.year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 5D% mats and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR BA./B.Sc/ B.Com and two year Diploma m Elementary Education (by whatever name known) AND (b) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), b be conducted in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE be the purpose.

(a) 5.0. /43.Sc/B.Can. and 1 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) ORBA/B.Sc/ B Corn. with at least 50% marks and 1- yea Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR BA/ B.Sc a Com. with at least 45% masks and t - year Bachelor in Education (BEd.), In accordance wide the NCTE Regulations issued from rime to time in this regard OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 - year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.A.Ed. /B.Sc Ed. or BA.Ed. /B.Sc.Ed. OR BA./ B.Sc./ B. Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 - year B & Ed. (Special Education)AND (b) Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

About Company
The entire Union Territory of Lakshadweep is considered as one district. Earlier the district was divided into four Tehsils. At present there are 10 Sub Divisions. While the Sub Divisional Officers coordinate development activities in 8 islands, in Minicoy and Agatti the Sub Division is under a Deputy Collector. Administration Secretariat was shifted from Kozhikode to Kavaratti in March 1964. With increase in various plan schemes and fund allocation, the necessity of decentralization of department was felt and accordingly in 1972 new offices were created.
